So far out of what I've seen, I'd say Insidious.

I just saw Don't Be Afraid of the Dark last night, it was decent but different. And I'm looking forward to Paranormal Activity 3.

Popular answers like Planet of the Apes and Harry Potter I can't judge because I never got into them.

Jarrett - You don't really need to have seen the previous films to watch Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Obviously though you do for Harry Potter.
