I have been going to Download Festival every year since 2007 and I can honestly say that nothing else comes close to it. Here are some of the main bands that I can remember performing each year there:
2007: Iron Maiden, Linkin Park, Killswitch Engage, Lamb Of God, Slayer, Machine Head, Manson, Megadeth, Dragonforce, Korn.
2008: Kiss, Lostprophets, Judas Priest, Offspring, Bullet for my Valentine, Disturbed, Motorhead, Kid Rock (I think).
2009: Def Leppard, Slipknot, Faith No More (fav band of all time), Korn, Manson, Limp Bizkit, Killswitch, BFMV.
2010: Rage Against The Machine, AC/DC, Aerosmith, Them Crooked Vultures, Killswitch, Magadeth, Deftones, Motorhead, Lamb.

And I also have tickets for this years upcoming festival as well. LThe majority of the line up is tbc but System of a Down will be headlining.
